About Me

If you love art, business, and a good pair of boots you’ll feel right at home here. Steph David Baxter’s mission is to make the art industry more fun and accessible for a new audience.

Steph was born and raised in a suburb of Pittsburgh, but currently resides in Los Angeles. Starting at a young age, she curated her own art exhibitions in her family’s pizza shop – selling her artworks to unsuspecting customers. She entered college as a Neuroscience major but after studying abroad in London, she rekindled her love for art. Specifically, she went to the Tate Modern and sat in front of Mona Hatoum’s “Home” installation for about an hour, totally immersed and perplexed, before deciding to change her major to pursue her passion – Art History, Theory and Criticism.

Steph has always been obsessed with the business side of the industry and obtained her MBA at the University of California, Irvine. She has had a diverse career, working in art museums and galleries, the robotics industry, influencer marketing and digital e-commerce. Currently, she is an art advisor for the hospitality sector – proving hotels, casinos, and trade clients with comprehensive artwork solutions. Her goal is to combine the skills gained from business school with her passion for art and digital marketing. For years, she has been creating personal collections of her favorite art, artists, and exhibitions (that have been dying on her computer in neatly organized folders). She wanted to start a blog to share her passion with the world and hopefully inspire you to do the same!
